William Moss has had a lengthy and impressive career, some of his credits have been working under George H. W. Bush for the President National Steering Committee. He was Chairman of the President's Drug Advisory Council. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of the American University in Washington D. C.,
and he is also Trustee of the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation.
Mr. Moss felt led to write a book on Finding Inner Peace During Troubled Times. He is, like most people troubled by the economy, war and strife around the world, safety of our nation, and the increasing population.
Mr. Moss after speaking to his spiritual advisor then wrote this book with the answer to how God wants us to find and show us what inner peace is.

This small 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 book is not only small in information, but small in giving the readers the definition of what Peace is.
In John 14:27 Jesus said,
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." NIV
The word peace in Greek is eirene and the deeper meaning of the word is a lack of strife or reconciliation in a relation, as when one has peace with God. Definition from The Strongest NIV Exhaustive Concordance.
The only way that we can have peace with God is through acceptance and belief in Jesus Christ as God in the flesh and in His atoning death on the cross. In believing in Jesus Christ we are reconciled to Him and we then have peace. After a person becomes a believer in Jesus Christ His Spirit comes to live in us, He dwells fully in us. We do not have to search for Him, we do not need to follow any kind of path in order to have Him in us more fully. He is already living in us. In chapter 15 of John Jesus talks about remaining in Him.
"Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." John 15: 4 NIV
We remain in Him by believing in Him, and in reading His Word, and in being obedient to Him. We cannot bear or produce fruit without Jesus remaining in us. Peace is a fruit--and it is listed in Galatians 5:22,
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." NIV
Let me sum this up. We all want peace, but real, true, lasting peace can only be in having Jesus Christ remaining and abiding in us. We have Him abiding in us by our belief in Him, reading His Word and absolutely in obeying Him. Then we can produce fruit, we can produce peace.
In the book Finding Inner Peace During Troubled Times William Moss uses some words that hopefully my explanation above answered more fully. The words he used were finding, searching, seek, path, find our soul through love, and showing us a path.
I disagree with his meditation of breathing in and breathing out what the author calls a meditative prayer.
This is gobbledygook--yes this is a real definition in my Oxford Pocket American Dictionary.
"Just give me Jesus" as Anne Graham Lotz says with her North Carolina drawl. I don't need to say any great words of human wisdom--- I just want and already have Jesus abiding in me.
Jesus is enough.
The author does use several Bible verses in his book for reference, I can sympathize with his feelings behind the message that he is trying to help people. The book is simple and a quick read. The cover and pages are glossy and there are many pages for writing thoughts or further prayers down.

God...who are you and what can you do for me? Part 3

The Bible study is entitled "God...who are you and what can you do for me?"
You can find the study at Titus2AtTheWell and also @ ByHisGraceMinistry .
We are studying the Hebrew names of God and how they are applicable to us. So far we have traveled through Genesis, Exodus, 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles, Psalms, Isaiah, Ruth, Ezekiel, Luke, and John.
The name we are studying this week is Immanuel-God with Us. This is a ten week study, we are currently in the third week.
Jenifer B. Jernigan is the author of this current Bible study and she asks a question each Monday. The question for this week is:

"How comforting is it to you to know that God is with you, through the good and the bad, always protecting you and always loving you?"

I have pondered this question for 3 days, it is not that I do not have a ready answer, but do I have the answer that is Holy Spirit led to give? Sometimes we answer to quickly, we want an instant answer to our every question. Be serious, life most of the time is not instant, it requires patience, and thought, and especially prayer.
The word comfort can readily in-vision in our minds a warm cozy quilt, or hot chocolate, banana cream pie,
homemade macaroni and cheese, or a cozy warm fireplace. Sure, these are things of comfort but eventually the quilt will need to be washed or become tattered, the food will be eaten, the hot chocolate drank, and the fire will go out. These things are not lasting and they are not meant to be. God is meant to be lasting for us---maybe you've heard the quote "there is a God shaped vacuum in all of us." People search and search for those "things" that bring comfort, peace, a since of security, or "true" love. God is meant to be all of the above. This is comfort, that He fulfills it all! There is nothing I can add to Him, nothing someone else can add to Him, He already is, He is the I AM!

One Question Friday

Wendy from All In A Day's Thought posts a question each Friday, the post is entitled One Question Friday. This past Friday February 19, her question was "comfort food, or adventurous cuisine?"

Adventurous cuisine spooks me a little; I have visions of chocolate covered ants, or crispy fried grasshoppers.
I also envision calf tongue, beef heart, scrambled calf brain (yes, people do eat this.)
So, I'm going to go with comfort food. I love chicken fried steak with baked potato, chicken pot pie, chicken and dumplings, homemake macaroni and cheese, meatloaf with mashed potatoes.
When I think of comfort foods, I often think of the memories of eating these foods, and the memories of my mother and or grandmother cooking these foods.
On Sunday after Church mother often would make fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and homemade biscuits baked in a large cast iron skillet. I also remember her putting a roast on to bake early on Sunday morning, and it would bake while we were at Church. The roast would be tender and moist, and she would serve it with mashed potatoes and a gravy she would make (not the kind out of a package, but homemade.)
Cornbread was almost a daily choice, cornbread not only compliments any meal, but it is a dessert also---have you ever had syrup on cornbread? This I have been told with pride in my father's voice was my first table food, daddy shares this with a twinkle in his eye, he knew mother did not like it (I can picture her eyebrows raising to above her hairline.)

Faith 'n' Fiction

"What keeps you from recommending a book? Poor writing? Poor theology? Explicit sex? Profanity? Inappropriate subject matter? Are there books you love so much you would recommend them to anyone, or does each recommendation you make take the person you are recommending the book into consideration?"

I feel that the number one thing that prevents me from recommending a book to someone else is that the person does not like to read. More of my family and friends do not read, than do. Those family and friends that do read do not read as much as I do. My dad and I recommend books to each other, my daughter in-law Christina and I share books, my older sister JoAnn and I share books. I am in a charge of the book club at my Church and I recommend books to them.
Poor writing, poor theology, explicit sex and profanity, inappropriate subject matter, these are issues that I've not come across yet in the Christian fiction and Christian non fiction books that I've read and then recommended. When I recognize the authors name and read the back cover of the book, it is almost never that I will then read the book and be offended by its content.
Secular books are a different story, I can think of only a few times that I've been disappointed and shocked by its content enough that not only did I not recommend the book, but I did not finish the book myself.
I have a few friends that are not in the least bit interested in reading Christian fiction or Christian non fiction, it is their choice, and I will not recommend a book from those categories to them. They know that I read from these genre's because I talk about some of the books, they listen attentively and may ask a question, but I'm not going to be "pushy" in trying to talk them in to reading the book.

Here is an excerpt from Marc's journal that is posted online:

"There is nothing that can prepare one for a murder trial. My family sits as the last few hours in Polly's life are dissected, analyzed, de-constructed, reconstructed, cross-referenced and compartmentalized. The constant assault on our sensibilities by horrible revelations that defy the principles of civilization seem overwhelming much of the time. It is impossible to withstand or rise above the continual dehumanizing facts that are revealed in a constant, monotonous stream of revelation. There is no room for anything but the processing of nightmarish information. The killer laughs throughout the video tape and I want to shout, yet I must sit unflinching and stone-faced for fear of causing a mistrial. Every day my family is drawn into the world of murder, mayhem, rape and deprivation and there is no way out."

Convicted

I feel that in the wide reaching ability of being able to blog, email, Facebook, and MySpace, that an intimacy has been lost. We can reach others as never before by the click of our mouse, yet we have lost the intimacy of a conversation. Most of us that have a blog are busy in-putting information whether it is a book review, or meme assignment, or our latest book writing updates. We can be so busy being busy that we forget to be real, personable, approachable, human.
Maybe there are those that enjoy and feel secure in the anonymous nature of a blog, but there must be a balance. The audience desires someone that they can relate to, that hears them, that they can walk away from the computer screen having learned something, and especially feel uplifted.
My hopes and prayers is that I can be that blog that stirs the hearts and minds-----only by the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let's say, I have been convicted.

Review-"The Hidden Flame"

Review--"The Hidden Flame,  Book 2-- Acts of Faith"by Davis Bunn and Janette Oke
Bethany House Published 2010, 394 pages

Link to book:
http://www.bethanyhouse.com/ME2/Audiences/dirmod.asp?sid=0477683E4046471488BD7BAC8DCFB004&nm=&type=PubCom&mod=PubComProductCatalog&mid=BF1316AF9E334B7BA1C33CB61CF48A4E&tier=3&id=A9373872FF1948C98D2DFCE7C0790462

This book was provided for free to me by Bethany House for the purpose of reading/reviewing.

"The Hidden Flame" is the story of the early Church and specifically of a young woman named Abigail. The time period is shortly after Jesus' ascension into Heaven. Abigail is the main character and she has a  teenage brother named Jacob that she is guardian of. Abigail is a beautiful and gracious woman, she is meek and compassionate, kindhearted and gentle, she has a servant' heart. She works along side Martha of Bethany in preparing meals and housekeeping duties for the disciples. Abigail feels a growing angst for her brother that is growing in to a young man. He has ambitions that may put him in conflict with the beliefs of The Way. Abigail's leg was injured in an accident, yet she does not complain, and she fulfills her responsibilities. There are two men that wish to marry Abigail; Linux a Roman soldier and Ezra a widower that is tightly associated with the Sanhedrin. Abigail is in a dilemma, neither man is of The Way.

I loved book 1 in this series "The Centurion's Wife", and I was anticipating book 2. I missed reading more about the main characters that were in book 1, Alban and Leah--their story played a minor part in book 2.
I did enjoy the story of Abigail; I was sympathetic to her life and her problems. She seemed on the exterior to be a meek and docile woman; yet the pain and physical handicap in her life gave grit to her character. Abigail at times seemed as if she would have liked to fade in to the background of her environment, she is uneasy with her physical beauty and her handicap. Instead, the other characters notice her servants heart and her graciousness.
I felt the character Ezra was depicted accurately, but the character Linux being a Roman soldier I expected him to be more course, crude, aggressive, and dominating. A Roman soldier was trained since an early age to be a soldier--to kill with indifference and without emotion.
Other well known characters known to us from the New Testament are introduced, as well as stories from the book of Acts such as Ananias and Sapphira.
It is must be arduous to write a historical fiction story about the early Church, the disciples, apostles, and be in agreement with the Bible. I felt that both the fictional characters and the story was in alignment with the Bible.
My favorite character in the book was Martha of Bethany, she was so accurately portrayed in "The Hidden Flame" that I expected her to walk out of the book and start cooking in my kitchen!
The book gave a memorable and moving story of the early Churches faith, obedience to the Lord, fear of  unknown terrors and persecutions, and living each day in His will.

Book 1 in "Acts of Faith, The Centurion's Wife" was a 2008 Top Pick Winner. The book is available at the following link.

"God...who are You & what can You do for me? Session 2"

Week 2
Yahweh, I Am

The discussion questions for this week are:
1. What does it mean to you to know that you are precious in God's sight?
My mother often told me when I was growing up that I was her joy! Her precious joy! Oh, how I miss hearing her say those words.
But, when I read the Word that "is living and active, sharper than any double edged sword", I know that I am His joy, and that I am precious to God. Mother is now in heaven and I cannot hear her voice, but God's Word is perfect and eternal, and I have confidence in, and faith in, that according to His Word I am precious to Him.

2. Can you think of a time in your life when you have experienced, first hand, the Lord's faithfulness?
I could give several answers, because He has worked dramatically in my life over the past several years, and I know it was not only for my own benefit, but for those that I would share my story with---actually His story, I am just His servant.
In the spring of 2003 my oldest son David was deployed to Iraq. David was a tank driver in an M1 Abram tank. He was turning 20, newly married, and later in 2003 would become a daddy.
When I think back at that time we were all naive of what was to come, all of us except my own daddy that was a Veteran of World War II. How can another person due justice to paint an accurate picture of combat to another? No more easier than a person can accurately describe what it is like to send your spouse or child off to war. We were not sending David off to a camp, where if he was in trouble we could go and get him. He would be far on the other side of the world, where others wished to kill him. Just writing that last sentence makes me want to bust in to tears....this is my son, even though he is an adult, he is still my precious first born baby. I was not there the day he left, I stayed at home--alone (yet, not really alone His Spirit was with me), David did not think he could handle a grieving wife and his mother at the same time. My husband also David's dad took him, at the last minute my daughter in-law Christina went.
During the many days and weeks and months that David was gone I prayed constantly, in and out of prayer all day and night. Often during the night I would be awakened in the middle of night with the urgent alarm to wake up and pray for David now! I would scramble out of the covers and kneel beside the bed to pray. A few times the alarm (no I did not hear a real alarm, but that is the best way I can explain my arousal to wake up) was more pronounced, more serious. I heard the "still small voice" tell me that "this was serious, Annette you must pray now, you must battle in prayer for David." I obeyed and prayed in a way I'd never prayed before, prostrate on the floor, towards the east (don't know why, just obeyed). I would pray until I felt it was "enough." Once I prayed in this posture until dawn came.
A young man died in Iraq August of 2003, he left a wife and small children. He was a local boy. During my devotional time I heard His Spirit ask me "Annette if something were to happen to David would you still love me, would you still worship me?" My first response was "Oh, Lord I don't like that question, that is not nice!"
I ignored the question for days, fleeing from it. Yet, every time I would pause and have a devotional time there it was, as if in bold letters like a large caption that would be in a cartoon floating above my head waiting for my answer. Finally, I answered, "yes, Lord you know all things, even if something happens to David I will still love you, I will still worship you." It is a hard, hard, hard thing to pray for the Lords will, knowing that it maybe His will that your son does not come back home to you. Yet, there is a peace in this, a freedom on the other side, but you have to let go, you have to release it and give it to Him.
David did come home to us, he went back for a second tour and came back home again. Early next month he will complete his military duty--over eight years.
God was gracious to us, He blessed us immeasurably. It could have worked out differently, but it did not.
Look deeper than the result in this story, yes, God was faithful in bringing David back home to His family.
God was already "faithful" in being with us in a mighty way; His comfort, compassion, encouragement, promise of eternal life, guidance and direction, all of these were magnified greatly in our family during this period. In turn we were witnesses of Him in this, because others were watching, and God was glorified.
I could write a long list of what God  has taught me through this experience, it could fill a book....maybe that would be a good idea?

One Question Friday

One Question Friday is a weekly Friday post from All In a Day's Thought.

"Yesterday or tomorrow?"
It would depend on what yesterday I could relive?
I would love to be a little girl again, to walk home from school, walk through our back door and into our kitchen, and there would be Momma---waiting on me with a smile on her face.
I would love to sit at my Mamaw's kitchen table with her and my Papaw, my Mother, Aunt Beverly and Uncle Melvyn, and listen to "their stories." Those stories of when they were young: the barn dances, picking cotton, the way my Mamaw endearingly said her daddy's name--Papa, drawing water from a well, Mamaw baking a chocolate pie every morning for breakfast for my Papaw--at least till they had children, school in a one room schoolhouse, flour sack dresses, the Great Galveston Hurricane, living in a new never used chicken house, making moonshine, having a still in the house and hoping the neighbors did not know, the radio shows they listened to--Grand Ole Opry and Fibber McGee and Molly, and my mother having to wear a bag of asifidity around her neck.
Asifidity was supposed to keep you from getting sick. It looked like a plug of tobacco, it smelled horribly. I am unsure of the ingredients, possibly garlic, poke root. My mother was terribly embarrassed in having to wear this offensive skunk.
Tomorrow can be a scary word, after all we do not know what tomorrow will reveal. As a Christian I trust in God that He holds all the tomorrows, He is the master designer of my future, and this brings comfort.

Faith 'n' Fiction

Faith 'n' Fiction is produced by Amy @ My Friend Amy

"What is the purpose of Christian Fiction?"
The purpose of Christian Fiction is to tell a story in a Christian themed, Christ exalting manner.
Christian Fiction books can be counted on to be free of curse words or other coarse speech. They will be free of sexual innuendo's and activity. Christian Fiction books are also free of the graphic bloody details of violence. They are books that a Christian can feel at peace about in not encountering something that would make them feel uncomfortable.
I have read secular fiction books before that everything in the story seems to be fine and then wham! A detailed sexual encounter is worked in to the storyline, then I'm faced with do I end this book and get rid of it, or do I skip past this part?
I am aware that some people are not bothered by graphic bloody murder details, or sexual activity in a book or even a movie. I am, and this is my opinion only.

One Question Friday

One Question Friday is a post that the author of All In A Day's Thought creates each Friday.
The question for Friday February 5, 2010 is:
Wavering decision or confident indecision?

Actually I have been both. It would depend on how serious the decision is? what other circumstances might be going on? and if I am given time to think or does the decision need to be immediate?
I am a full time care giver of my eighty seven year old father. He has injured himself before, or had pain or other health problems; and I have needed to make a quick decision right then as to whether I needed to call the doctor, call for an ambulance, or take him to the hospital myself. He always tells me, "oh I'm just fine" or "it's just a little bit of blood." Of course my insides are ready to scream out "man your battle stations!" Instead I take charge and with as much confidence as I can muster make the decision.
Or,
I can be in a bakery and cannot make a simple decision whether to buy and eat a scone, a muffin, or maybe a jumbo cookie?

A New Bible Reading Challenge

A new Bible reading challenge from Becky at Operation Actually Read Bible.
For the month of February read the book of Ruth.

Getting to Know the Almighty God: Who is God to you?

A new Bible study is at Titus2AtTheWell by Jennifer Jernigan
We are encouraged to join them in a discussion and Bible study each Monday for the next ten weeks.
There is a down-loadable Bible study packet available at the site and a video to watch.
The question for week one is "Who is God to you?"

I will need to give you my testimony in order to answer this question.

Once upon a time--no this is not a fairy tale. But once upon a time I believed in God because it was what I had been taught, yet I never remember a time in my life when I did not know God. From the very beginning of my life I was taken to Sunday school and Church, Vacation Bible school, my parents both taught Sunday school, Jesus was talked about in our home, on Saturday nights daddy would ask each of us kids what our lesson Sunday morning was on and we better be prepared to give an answer.
When I was nine years old and during the invitational time at Vacation Bible school, I accepted Jesus as my Savior and invited Him in to my heart.
My life changed little being nine years old. As I grew in to my older teen years I rebelled, my selfishness and arrogance grew. Through some tough life experiences that I brought on myself, God used them to get hold of my attention. It was at this time that He began to became more personal and tangible in my life.
At about the age of thirty I had a crisis of faith, the ground where I had been standing was ripped up from beneath my feet. I could have blamed God, I could have fallen in to sin, instead I clung to God and this was when I began daily reading His Word. During this same time I joined Bible Study Fellowship, also taking part in many other Bible studies throughout my thirties and continuing on today.
During this crisis of faith I learned that the ground I had been standing on was not on whom it should have been on, it was in another person, my husband. God used this experience to teach me that He alone is my rock and that I must depend on Him. My sufficiency is in Jesus, not another human. Where humans fail, God does not.
During my thirties and forties I had many experiences: breast cancer and a double mastectomy, sending a child off to war, a mother with Alzheimer's, caring for aging parents, sitting beside my precious mother as she passed from this life to the next, becoming a grandparent, watching my body grow older, menopause, and many other experiences. In all of these moments God has taught me that He is enough, He is my rock, my closest companion, my teacher, my counselor, my confidant, my heavenly Abba Father, my Savior and redeemer, and He "is" the Great Love of my life--the lover of my soul, mind and heart.

Faith 'n' Fiction Saturday: Why Should Christians Read Fiction

"Today we're going to discuss why Christians should read fiction. If you are a lover of fiction, it's no doubt that you're heard all sorts of arguments against spending time reading it. In fact, a commenter just this week on my blog said she's heard it referred to as emotional porn. The very concept of Christian fiction had a huge battle to face in conservative circles and is, in my opinion, still facing those battles in its attempts to grow. Is there any value in reading fiction for Christians? Why are some people so resistant to the idea of reading fiction? If you DON'T read fiction, why don't you read it? (Please keep in mind we are talking about ALL fiction and not just Christian fiction)" Post from My Friend Amy's Blog.

Pure and simply I read fiction because I love a well-written--entertaining--uplifting or memorable--story!
I read Christian fiction because I do not need to worry about curse words, and sexual or macabre details.
Emotional porn is awfully strong for an opinion on Christian fiction. I suppose they are referring to inspirational romance Christian fiction. My definition of porn is what is defined in my dictionary, as explicit description or exhibition of sexual activity in literature or films, and this is intended to stimulate. I have never read, nor heard of any Christian fiction book as defined by the previous given definition.
Christian fiction stories are written with the focus on God, and of the building of character, and real life situations are given in the stories in order for us to relate to and give inspiration to a God led life.

After Carrie's father became a widow, he married Esther and they moved into her home and farm. Carrie's beau is Solomon (Sol) Riehl and he is a talented baseball player. Sol hides his activity with baseball because he is Amish, and his goal to play professionally is frowned upon by them. Carrie and Sol are in love, and they are planning to run away together when Sol leaves with his team the Lancaster Barnstormers. Early in the story a significant and sudden development happens that leaves Carrie with difficult and unexpected decisions to make.
There have been many books written with an Amish storyline and characters. I believe after reading the book "The Choice" that this is one of my favorites!
This is a great story full of twists and turns, and likable and unlikable characters. It is a story of love and forgiveness, patience in God's will and timing, and faith during sadness and heartache. It is also a story of unexpected blessings, and the joy of God's will over our own desires.
I enjoyed the large mix of differing personality traits in the characters.
The character Carrie is a genuinely likable girl. She is beautiful, yet does not hold herself in high esteem, she places God and family as first in importance, she is hard working, kind and considerate, and expresses herself well when needed. She is also just a young girl, and I was swept away with her maturity and steadfastness during the storms that engulfed her life.
Sol is focused on baseball and his desires and mind is swept away with the game. In Sol I saw what is all too typical in people, they place things and desires above God and others.
Carrie's step mother Esther is stern, solemn, stoic; and in the beginning of the story I found her to be indifferent, yet her life experiences equaled with her personality gave her reason to be so in temperment.
Yonnie is all that we hold in endearment in a grandmother, she is a sturdy patriarch, and she is wise in knowing just what to say and in words that are unforgettable.
"The Choice" paints a great love story, it is tender and passionate, yet mature and grounded.
There were surprise twists and turns in the story, many I did not anticipate and for this I give high regards to this book---many of its contemporaries have predictable storylines.
I cannot wait until book two in the Lancaster County series becomes available----"The Waiting" will be available October 2010!

Church Fire

I have just heard that another Church burned this morning in Wills Point, Texas--Russell Memorial United Methodist Church. This makes eight Church fires in Texas since January 1.
I am asking that all of my readers be in continual prayer for the person involved in these fires---that they will be apprehended. Also, pray for all eight of the Church congregations and staff leaders. Most of all pray that whoever is involved in the burning of these Churches that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior!

This book was provided by WaterBrook Multnomah for the purpose of reading/reviewing.

I read this book cover to cover, enjoying every bit of information that poured from it!
What I loved most about this book is at the turning of every page Angel's is the topic, but the Lord is always the focus!
Back in the 1990's Angel's seemed to be everywhere. When I would have a birthday or at Christmas, I could expect to receive another collectible Angel for my curio cabinet. It got to be too much and I have since parted with many of them. If you remember movies began to flourish, the movie "Michael" with John Travolta came out in 1996. Even now Angel's are displayed often in Hollywood movies as either a cutesy funny character, a seductress, an avenging Angel, a death Angel, or recently the movie "Legion" an apocalyptic sy-fi movie.
Enough about what the "world" states Angels are like.
What does the Bible say about Angels?
Dr. David Jeremiah writes that "there are over 300 references to Angel's in the Bible. No where in any of these references does it state that we are to pray to an Angel. Angel's do not serve us, they serve God. They are always in the presence of our Holy God."
Dr. David Jeremiah writes a detailed account of what Angel's are and what they are not, what their purpose and work is, what our response should be, definitions of the different Angel groups--such as Cherubim and Seraphim, Angel's at a believer's death, and Satan and his fallen Angel's.
I felt this was an absorbing read, the author's explanations are wonderful, Biblical references are always used.
The author had also in his research read other books on Angel's, such as the book Billy Graham wrote.
There was only two things that I disliked about the book; the type-font is to small, and it is to light. I felt the type-font should have been darker print and a little larger. I had to sit close to the lamp light in order to see to read.

Thankful Thursday!

On this Thursday I am thankful for:
1. Rain, six months ago we were in a severe drought.
2. That eventually the sun does come out again.
3. That we have four seasons, it would be terrible to only have a winter, or a summer all of the time.
4. For scratch pads, sticky notes, and post-its.
5. That I have my own office in my home (I do not have to share.)
