Weekly Readings, March 25 Through 30, 2013

Happy Easter Morning to you!

During this past week I read (all in the NKJV Bible):
Numbers Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
Isaiah Chapters 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42.
Matthew Chapters 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28.
Acts Chapter 1.

Then because it is Easter week I read Matthew chapters 26 and 27, Mark chapters 14 and 15, Luke chapters 22 and 23, and John chapters 18, 19, 20, and 21.   

A favorite quote I read this past week from My Upmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers.
"Christian worker's greatest need is a readiness to face Jesus Christ at any and every turn...The battle is in not being so absorbed in our (ministry) service that we are not ready to face Jesus Himself at every turn."
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
